SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs have signed center Micah Potter and guard Adam Flagler to the roster ahead of training camp.
According to a report, the players inked non-guaranteed contracts with the Spurs, which contain both Exhibit 9 and Exhibit 10 language. Potter and Flagler would each earn bonuses worth $85,300 if the team waives them and spends at least 60 days with the Austin Spurs in the G League.
Potter (6’10”, 248 lbs.) played 26 games with the Jazz last season and averaged 4.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and connected on 32% from the three-point line.
Flagler (who played with Baylor) has been with the Thunder since entering the league in 2023. He’s a 6’3 “shooting guard who played 37 games with the Thunder last season, helping the team win the NBA title. He posted 1.8 points per game in 5.5 minutes.
Expect both to join the Austin club next season.
WEMBY PICKS UP FAN AWARD
The results are in for Defensive Play of the Year, and fans have voted for Victor Wembanyama’s block versus Houston’s Jalen Green at the rim.
Wemby wins the 2024-25 NBA Fan Favorites Award for this two-handed rejection and rightfully so.
He is quite an intimidating presence at the rim and in the paint for any player daring enough to challenge him, and despite being shelved early last season (blood clots), he still managed to lead the league in blocks at 3.8 per game.
