Spurs continue to help the Uvalde community recover; Get your first-ever Spurs debit card

The San Antonio Spurs donated $100,000 to support Uvalde’s healing by renovating a school gym for grief programs.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs surprised St. Philip’s Episcopal School in Uvalde and the Children’s Bereavement Center with a $100,000 grant from the Sport for Healing Fund during halftime at the team’s recent game versus Indiana.

The funding will support the refurbishment and renovation of the school’s gym, which helps grief support programs and community outreach for families affected by the Robb Elementary tragedy.

The Spurs continued their commitment to the Uvalde community through the Community Ticket Program, providing an unforgettable game day experience for Maya’s Love, Morales Jr. High School, and the surviving families of the Tree City Spurs Basketball team members who lost their lives in the Robb Elementary School shooting. Families received transportation to the Frost Bank Center, enjoyed a suite experience, and were invited courtside to watch the team warm up before the game. Proceeds from Uvalde-themed T-shirts and ticket sales will also continue to benefit the Sport for Healing Fund, reinforcing the organization’s ongoing investment in Uvalde’s recovery and resilience.
