SAN ANTONIO — Carter Bryant scored 15 points in his NBA debut, a trio of other Spurs players each tallied 16 and Victor Wembanyama notched some highlight-reel blocks as San Antonio defeated the visiting Guangzhou Loong Lions, 119-88, for a preseason-opening win.
It was a smooth-sailing victory for San Antonio. The team got out to a double-digit lead after one quarter and didn’t look back, scoring 74 points by halftime. Bryant, the Spurs’ second first-round pick of the 2025 NBA Draft, shined in his team-high 23 minutes, going 6-for-11 from the field.
The Silver & Black limited the Lions to just 37.7% shooting from the floor while sporting their own mark of 53.8%, including making 15 of 38 from distance.
