San Antonio will play in 22 nationally televised games this year. Here’s what to know about the schedule.
SAN ANTONIO — Expectations are high for the San Antonio Spurs this season, expected to kick off with a roster featuring a healthy Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox, a high-ceiling No. 2 overall draft pick in Dylan Harper, and the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year in Stephon Castle.
Fans hope those pieces, along with new depth at center behind Wemby and the potential for additional moves ahead of the trade deadline, are enough to get the Silver & Black back to the postseason for the first time since the 2018-2019 campaign. That’s also the last time they finished above .500.
Now we know the journey the Spurs have ahead of them as they look to continue playing into the late spring, kicking off with road games against the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans in late October before they return to Frost Bank Center for their first homestand of the season.
San Antonio is slated for 14 back-to-backs this season, and will return to Austin on Feb. 19 and 21 for games against the Suns and Kings. They’re also set to play in 22 nationally televised games this season, up from 21 last year; those matchups and channels will be announced at a later date.
