Spurs’ Duncan’s 2013 NBA Finals game-worn jersey sells for over $34k at auction

SAN ANTONIO — Someone is a huge Tim Duncan fan because they spent thousands of dollars at auction on his game-worn 2013 NBA Finals jersey.

Goldin recently had up for auction the San Antonio Spurs legend’s NBA Finals jersey (white Association) that he wore for games 3-5 against the Miami Heat.

According to Goldin, Duncan first used this jersey in the second half of Game 3 on Jun. 11. He then wore the jersey, recording a team-high 20 points in Game 4 and had 17 points with a game-high 12 rebounds for the double-double on Jun. 15 in Game 5.

And despite the Spurs coming up short in the championship against Miami, it did not deter the bidder. The final winning bid was a whopping $34,160.

Duncan’s jersey isn’t the only Spurs jersey to sell for top dollar at auction.

Recently, Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs jersey, which he wore on his birthday, fetched $120,000 at a recent Sotheby’s auction.

It was the top-selling item in Sotheby’s lot and shattered the pre-sale estimates at $30,000-$50,000.
