San Antonio Spurs invite fans to the free Silver & Black Open Scrimmage at Frost Bank Center on October 4.
SAN ANTONIO — It’s that time of year when San Antonio Spurs fans are invited to the free 2025-26 Silver & Black Open Scrimmage.
The Spurs are inviting fans to attend the Frost Bank Center on Saturday, October 4, at 6 p.m., where the team will take the court for a friendly scrimmage, giving fans the chance to preview the team in action ahead of their Sunday, Oct. 26 home opener against the Brooklyn Nets.

“We’re grateful to have the opportunity to offer free tickets to this scrimmage, reaching as many fans as possible across San Antonio,” said Becky Kimbro, Senior Vice President of Brand Engagement at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, in a release. “Our fans are the heartbeat of our team, and this is our way of saying thank you for the unwavering support and energy they bring every season.”
There will be specially priced $2.50 draft beers and $1 soft drinks. In addition, fans can get new Spurs gear at a 15% discount in the Spurs Fan Shop inside the arena. Parking for the event will be free in Lots 1-7, and doors will open at 5 p.m.
According to the Spurs, to be eligible to receive complimentary tickets, fans must complete the following steps:
- Head to Spurs.com/OpenScrimmage or text SCRIMMAGE to 210-444-5940 to join the Official Spurs Fan Club and enter to win
- Both new and existing Fan Club members will need to enter to win through the above link
- Deadline to enter is Sunday, Sept. 14 at 11:59 p.m.
- Each fan is eligible to win up to four free tickets while supplies last
- Winners will be notified by Monday, Sept. 15
- Winners must claim their tickets within 72 hours of notification; if not, new winners will be selected
- All tickets are General Admission seating and cannot be transferred or resold
