SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama announced a new fan section at the Frost Bank Center to showcase their fandom at home games.
“We’re building something new, something powerful, something that will be the heartbeat of every home game,” the Spurs say of the fan section, adding they’re looking to create “the loudest, proudest and most relentless crew of Spurs fans in the building.”
It is inspired by European soccer megafans – including Victor Wembanyama’s club of choice, Paris Saint-Germain and will be in Section 114.
And the Silver and Black faithful showed up for tryouts, bringing their rabid spirit.
Plenty of fans showed up at the Freeman Coliseum on Sunday morning, dressed in paint and costumes, and trying out for the new supporter section at the Frost Bank Center.
“Spurs fans, thank you so much for coming out today. So many people! Great energy,” Wembanyama shared on social media.
If selected, the fans will be required to pay the $999 ticket price that comes with being a part of the inaugural supporter section.
Wemby will now review the participants who tried out, select captains, and finalize the fans who will be part of the fan section.
SPURS ADD GUARD TO THE ROSTER
The Spurs have signed free-agent guard Isaiah Miller.
The 27-year-old played with the G League’s Austin Spurs, averaging 14.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists across 15 games during the 2024–25 season before tearing his right ACL in February.
He is likely a training camp deal and will likely return to the Austin Spurs next season.
