The Spurs unveil The Jackals, a new fan section to electrify games at the Frost Bank Center with chants and cheers.
SAN ANTONIO — It’s official – The Jackals have arrived, and they’re ready to make some serious noise at the Frost Bank Center.
The San Antonio Spurs announced the creation of The Jackals, a new, high-energy fan section designed to bring a home-court advantage unlike anything the NBA has seen before. Fan attending the games should expect drums, chants, and coordinated cheers – the kind of electric atmosphere usually reserved for European football stadiums.
The group’s mission is simple: turn every Spurs home game into an unforgettable experience for fans and a tough environment for opponents. According to the announcement, the Jackals are all about being “dedicated, passionate, and loud.”
This new supporter section was inspired in part by Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, whose presence has re-energized San Antonio’s fanbase. Wemby’s impact both on and off the court has drawn a global spotlight to the team and now, his supporters are taking that energy straight into the stands.
“The goal of the group is to create a home-court advantage never seen in the NBA,” organizers said. “With chants, songs, and traditions that elevate the fan experience at Frost Bank Center, this can potentially be a gamechanger for the Spurs.
While only two days into their official launch, the Jackals have already taken social media by storm, gaining traction among die-hard Spurs fans eager to join.
Wembanyama expressed his gratitude to the fans leading the effort, saying he’s excited to see the culture continue to grow. Tryouts were held back in early September for the new unique, fans in Section 114.
