Spurs’ Fox calls Warriors forward the ‘biggest complainer’; San Antonio Zoo roasts Kawhi Leonard

De’Aaron Fox names Draymond Green and Luka Doncic as top NBA complainers with referees.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ De’Aaron Fox was a guest on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back” show and was asked who he thinks is the league’s biggest complainer with the refs.

And the Spurs guard said it is the Warriors’ Draymond Green.

“Draymond will clothesline you and then look at the ref like, ‘What’d I do?’” said Fox.

He also added Lakers’ Luka Doncic to his list.

“Luka’s up there.”

Fox, however, did admit that arguing with the referees can help the player’s cause, as well as be warranted, because he believes sometimes the referees don’t get it right.

“[R]effing is god-awful at times,” he said.

SAN ANTONIO ZOO ROASTS FORMER SPURS FORWARD KAWHI LEONARD

The San Antonio Zoo wasted no time poking fun at former Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers, and owner Steve Ballmer over allegations that the team allegedly circumvented the NBA salary cap rules.

In case you didn’t know, the NBA is investigating allegations that the Clippers created a $28 million “no-show” endorsement deal for Leonard with a now-bankrupt sustainability company called Aspiration to circumvent the salary cap. It is alleged that Leonard did no promotional work for the defunct, eco-friendly company that specialized in planting trees.

The Clippers released a statement regarding the allegations, stating that it is “flat-out wrong.”

“There is nothing unusual or untoward about team sponsors doing endorsement deals with players on the same team,” the second statement reads. “Neither (Owner) Steve (Ballmer) nor the Clippers organization had any oversight of Kawhi’s independent endorsement agreement with Aspiration. To say otherwise is flat-out wrong.”
