De’Aaron Fox showcased his “Fox 1 Red Fox” sneakers before finger surgery ended his season.
SAN ANTONIO — Before San Antonio Spurs‘ De’Aaron Fox was shelved to have finger surgery for the rest of the season, he showed off his new “Fox 1 Red Fox” personal edition sneakers against the Mavericks.
The sneakers (also known as the “Costello Coyote PE”) are red and white, with brown fur across the strap. His signature logo (a fox) is on the tongue, and the sole is white. The sneakers must have helped Fox perform on the court, scoring 32 points against the Mavericks that evening.
Unfortunately, this sneaker won’t be for the public as it is a personal edition just for the Spurs guard.
However, Fox’s new signature sneaker line, the “Fox 1,” is available from Curry Brand.
He recently showed off the line and all the colorways with Bleacher Report, including upcoming new releases such as the Reign Rose, Lexington (in honor of his days at Kentucky), Gamer (for his love of gaming), and Poppy PE.
Fox also shares his dream collaboration with the “Sonic: The Hedgehog” franchise, hoping to have colorways representing all the main characters one day.
SPURS PARTNER WITH PETMEDS
The Spurs announced a new partnership with PetMeds, an online pet pharmacy serving dogs, cats, and horses and their families. This partnership is a joint effort by both organizations to promote pet adoptions and health care and to support the special bond shared between pets and their loved ones.
The team also announced that the Spurs and PetMeds will collaborate to host multiple events at the Gunn Family Coyote Dog Park and at select Spurs home games to promote pet services, vaccinations, and adoptions.
The partnership will also bring a new “Pets of the Month” series to Spurs’ social channels during the regular season. Fans will be asked to share pictures of their pets in Spurs gear to be spotlighted as the winner and receive Spurs swag.
“We take pride in celebrating all members of the Spurs family, and this partnership provides a wonderful way to connect with the segment of our fanbase that has a beloved family pet,” said Frank Miceli, Chief Commercial Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, in a release. “It’s an honor to use our platform to support pet health and adoption for animals in need with the partnership and expertise of PetMeds.”
