The San Antonio Spurs’ “Champions for Change” event raised over $450,000 for community initiatives.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs hosted their inaugural “Champions for Change” event on Wednesday, March 5, at the Victory Capital Performance Center. The event brought together Spurs players, coaches and community members for an evening of philanthropy and entertainment.
The event reinforced the Spurs’ ongoing commitment to making a lasting impact in the San Antonio community through Spurs Give.
The event raised over $450,000 to support community initiatives that align with Spurs Give’s mission of advancing access, healing, wellness, and fostering a sense of belonging. The funds will directly benefit programs and organizations that create meaningful change in San Antonio.
The “Champions for Change” auction, featuring exclusive Spurs memorabilia and experiences, is also open for public bidding until Monday, March 10, at 8 p.m.
THE ROCK AT LA CANTERA ANNOUNCES SPRING EVENT LINEUP
The Rock at La Cantera announced its spring lineup of events, featuring a return performance from The Spazmatics, “Spring Break at The Rock,” and many more activations. For the first year, the campus will also be the host location for Taste of the Northside, an annual Fiesta event.
The Rock will continue to host popular recurring events to tip off the spring season on Frost Plaza:
- First Friday Flix of the Month – Every first Friday of the month, bring the whole family out to Frost Plaza to catch a kid-friendly film starting at 7 p.m., with occasional double features starting at 5 p.m.
- Fourth Friday at The Rock – Every fourth Friday of the month, Frost Plaza will have live music and local vendors for shoppers to browse and enjoy the entertainment from 6 to 11 p.m.
- Support the Spurs – As the Spurs continue their season, bring a lawn chair and blanket to Frost Plaza to catch all games streamed on the big screen. Game times will vary.
