SAN ANTONIO — If you have ever wanted to grace the Frost Bank Center court and show off your dance skills, now is your chance!
All dancers. breakdancers, tumblers and stunters in the San Antonio area are invited to audition for the Spurs Hype Squad. The group consider themselves ambassadors for the Spurs brand and are in charge of fan engagement and entertaiment. They perform during the games, at halftime, and participate in community engagement events outside of the basketball court. The Spurs Hype Squad has made five international appearances in France, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil and Taiwan. This will be the eighth season of the team.
During the auditions, those trying out will be judged on energy, engagement, talent, athletic skills and “embodiment of the Spurs team values.” The auditions take place virtually and in person.
