SPURS AND LEDGER PARTNER TO RENOVATE COMMUNITY BASKETBALL COURT IN NANTERRE, FRANCE

The Spurs revealed design plans for a refurbished basketball court in Nanterre, France, as part of their Spurs Week Paris festivities. Presented by Ledger, the court will be renovated as part of the “Play Paris” program, launched in 2025.

The new court design was revealed at the Palais des Sports Maurice Thorez, with a ceremony featuring representatives from the city of Nanterre, as well as Spurs, Nanterre 92, and Ledger leadership.

“Today marks the next chapter, with Nanterre being one of the many important communities in our basketball journey,” said RC Buford, CEO of the Spurs, in a release. “The courts we build through Play Paris symbolize our investment in the next generation of players who hope to follow in the footsteps of the global legends before them and elevate the game of basketball in France and beyond.”

The court design features Nanterre 92’s signature green-and-black colors. The center court artwork depicts Le Chesnay’s clock tower and pays homage to the tower imagery used in San Antonio’s 2023-24 San Antonio City Edition uniforms. The space will also include a chess table as a special nod to Victor Wembanyama.

The renovations will begin this spring and should be finished by the summer.
