
San Antonio Spurs’ Juan Nunez undergoes knee surgery, sidelined for six months.
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonio Spurs overseas player guard Juan Nunez has undergone knee surgery and will be out for the remainder of Barcelona’s season, the team has announced.
Barca announced Nunez underwent arthroscopy to correct a ruptured external meniscus of his right knee and will miss six months for recovery.
Following surgery, he shared an update on social media and was in good spirits.
Nunez averaged 5.0 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds in the EuroLeague and 5.1 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in the Spanish ACB league.
The Spurs acquired the draft rights to Nunez, the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, and cash considerations from Indiana in exchange for the draft rights to 35th overall selection Johnny Furphy.

The Spurs and USAA announced plans to honor the military community this week with a special Lilโ MVPs basketball clinic for children of local service members and Military Appreciation Night presented by USAA on Friday, March 14.

Forty children of active-duty military members stationed in San Antonio participated in the annual Lilโ MVPs basketball clinic presented by USAA with Spurs Sports Academy on Tuesday, March 11, led by Spurs coaching staff members Jonathan Tchatchoua and Curtis Lewis and Spurs player Julian Champagnie to sharpen their skills.
Military Appreciation Night presented by USAA โ Friday, March 14:
Military Appreciation Night will occur on Friday, March 14, as the team faces the Charlotte Hornets. It is the final of three military-themed nights presented by USAA this season, which included Veterans Night on Nov. 11 and Salute Night on Jan. 17.
