Spurs’ Keldon Johnson hosting free basketball camp in San Antonio

All young San Antonio athletes are invited to attend.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ Keldon Johnson will host a free basketball camp this month, and all young San Antonio athletes are invited to attend.

Johnson and his brother Kaleb will host a basketball camp for young athletes (ages 8-15) on July 25-26 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at San Antonio’s Cornerstone High School, 17702 NW Military Highway, 78275.

And the best part is that the camp is entirely free to attend!

The camp will also have T-shirts, shorts, and food, and a photo opportunity with Keldon and other players will be offered.

The Spurs forward always remembers the San Antonio community and beyond, including hosting a free camp at his old high school in Virginia this offseason.

“For me, giving back to the city of San Antonio is mandatory. Since I was a rookie, San Antonio has always brought me in and welcomed me with open arms with the fans and the San Antonio Spurs fan base,” he said.

“At least I could do is give back to the next generation because I was one of those kids at one time. I was going to basketball camps and trying to learn as much as I can and trying to find inspiration.”

Outside of basketball camps, he is supporting local San Antonio companies.

He partnered with Beldon Roofing Company to be a brand ambassador, and this past holiday season, he organized a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, where 300 turkeys were given to local families, and the Christmas Toy Drive, “Cheerful Slam Jam,” where free toys were given to 400 kids on San Antonio’s Eastside.

Just more proof: Johnson is always thinking of San Antonio.
