Through 18 games played with the Spurs last season, McLaughlin averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 assists in 6.9 minutes per game.

He’ll serve primarily as a backup role to the Spurs rotation of Fox, Stephon Castle, and rookie Dylan Harper. He will likely see an increase in minutes with the departures of Blake Wesley and Malaki Branham.

San Antonio now has two remaining roster spots, including two-way contracts to offer.
