SPURS DO THEIR PART TO HELP THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY

Nearly 100 Spurs employees, including RC Buford, Brian Wright, and Head Coach Mitch Johnson, traveled to Ingram, TX, to volunteer at Mercy Chefs’ flood relief site, helping the Texas Hill Country continue its recovery efforts in the aftermath of the flooding.

Spurs employees collaborated with the Mercy Chefs team to prepare and package hot meals for delivery to residents, first responders, and other volunteers in need throughout the Hill Country area. Mercy Chefs is a global disaster relief organization.

“We were honored to host San Antonio Spurs staff and leadership team members at our site in Texas Hill Country. Team leaders such as CEO RC Buford, GM Brian Wright, and head coach Mitch Johnson rolled up their sleeves and stood shoulder to shoulder on our plating line, serving meals to impacted families and first responders. That connection, that unity, reminded everyone that in moments of crisis, community can come from anywhere, and it all begins with a shared meal. We didn’t just serve food; we served hope and showed the people of Kerr County they aren’t forgotten,” said Chef Gary LeBlanc, founder and CEO of Mercy Chefs, in a release.

Additionally, RC, Brian, and Mitch visited with affected residents and first responders in the Kerr County area to listen to their stories, share their support, and distribute gift cards for food and other essential needs.
