SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs will have multiple first-round picks in the NBA Draft 2025, thanks to the Hawks’ loss to the Heat in the East Play-In Tournament.
Stemming from the Dejounte Murray trade in 2022, Atlanta owed the Spurs an unprotected pick, but the Hawks’ final game determined the outcome.
The Spurs will have two first-round picks (their own and Atlanta’s), and there is an increased chance that one of the picks will vault into the top four slots. Their pick has a 26.3 percent chance of landing in the top four at next month’s NBA Draft Lottery.
With multiple draft picks, whether the Spurs will draft players or trade them remains an open question.
