Spurs’ Stephon Castle sharpens 3-point shot in offseason; Wembanyama gets near-perfect block rating in NBA2K26

Victor Wembanyama is a defensive menace at the rim, thanks to his shot-blocking ability and the NBA2K26 video game is reflecting that.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ Stephon Castle continues his offseason work with Olin Simplis, aka “The Guard Whisperer,” and recently shared more footage of him focusing on improving his three-point shot.

In the video, Castle is showing off his long-range shot in a game of “500s” and posts that he never missed two straight.

Castle’s shot needs improvement. He averaged 14.7 points per game across 81 games but made 42.8% (423 out of 989 attempts) of his field goal shots and 28.7% from the three-point line. Early in the 2024-25 season, his three-point percentage was subpar, ranging from around 28% to 29%.

NBA2K26 HIGHLY RATES WEMBANYAMA’S SHOT BLOCKING

Victor Wembanyama is a defensive menace at the rim, thanks to his shot-blocking ability and the NBA2K26 video game is reflecting that.

The popular basketball video game rates Wemby as the only player with a 99 block rating. That is a near-perfect rating.

Wembanyama averaged 3.7 blocks per game for his two-year career. He averaged 3.6 blocks per game in his rookie season and then 3.8 blocks per game in his second season.

In fact, he is the NBA’s back-to-back shot blocks champion, having played just 46 games last season.
