Victor Wembanyama enjoys a vacation in Costa Rica while getting in some light court time.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ Victor Wembanyama is vacationing in Costa Rica and spending time on the court.
According to a post from Costa Rica’s Basket506, the Spurs center visited the Los Angeles de La Fortuna Sports Center in San Carlos and was getting in some shots.

This is fantastic news considering the All-Star reportedly underwent an operation to correct the deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Wemby has been on blood thinners since being sidelined, and surgery is not uncommon to correct thrombosis and the structural issue that is causing it.
Fortunately, the Spurs caught the issue early, and Wemby should fully recover just in time for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Also, he was not facing other players on the court and risking a body hit that could impact his recovery. In addition, it is not unusual to see Wemby on the court, considering he mentioned he is back to light gym work as part of his rehab.
