FOOTAGE OF CASTLE WITH THE GUARD WISPERER
Spurs’ Stephon Castle is not wasting time this offseason and is working with “The Guard Whisperer,” Olin Simplis, on his perimeter shot.
Simplis shared a video of Castle working on his shot and more. In the footage, the Rookie of the Year is learning to make his mid-range shots while a defender is on him, drives to the post, and takes bumps while shooting the ball. He is also working on his three-point shot.
He averaged 14.7 points per game across 81 games but made 42.8% (423 out of 989 attempts) of his field goal shots and 28.7% from the three-point line. Early in the 2024-25 season, his three-point percentage was subpar, ranging from around 28% to 29%.
