The breakdown
Skies will gradually clear this afternoon to a mixture of sun and clouds. Temperatures will be warm in the 70s! Way above average.
A strong cold front will push through around 11 p.m. tonight. With its passage, isolated storms east of I-35.
A marginal risk for isolated severe storms is in place highlighted in the green region closer to Houston. Again, this risk is for late Saturday.
Storms will be capable of damaging wind gusts and large hail overnight. Mostly east of San Antonio.
Wind chills will be in the 30s, Sunday morning! Daytime highs will be trending about 25-30 degrees cooler, Sunday afternoon.
This will create an overrunning effect in the atmosphere helping to generate some rain and some storms, Monday morning.
Monday is an IMPACT ALERT DAY! At least the morning hours for driving concerns with increased rain coverage and cold temperatures.
Forecast rain amounts Monday morning will be on the range of .10″ – .75″. With colder weather, this will impact travel!
