Bexar County deputies say victim didn’t know suspect—and still doesn’t know how he got her information.
SAN ANTONIO — A disturbing stalking case unfolding through a phone screen has led to the arrest of a San Antonio man—accused of targeting a woman with explicit video calls for years.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, 21-year-old De Ante Wilcher is facing a stalking charge after investigators say he repeatedly harassed a woman through unwanted FaceTime calls—despite being blocked multiple times.
Deputies say what makes this case especially unsettling is that the victim told investigators she did not know Wilcher—and still has no idea how he obtained her personal information.
Investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office say the harassment began in 2024 and continued for nearly two years.
According to the affidavit, the victim reported receiving repeated FaceTime calls from an unknown person. During those calls, deputies say the suspect would expose himself and perform sexual acts on camera.
Even after the victim blocked the accounts, investigators say the calls didn’t stop.
Instead, the suspect allegedly created and used multiple email accounts—switching identities to continue contacting the victim again and again.
The victim told deputies the repeated contact left her fearful for her safety.
According to the affidavit, the victim documented specific details about the caller, including distinctive tattoos visible during the video calls.
Investigators also followed a trail of digital evidence and say that information helped them identify Wilcher.
Detectives later made contact with him at a West Side apartment complex, where they observed tattoos matching the victim’s description.
During an interview, deputies say Wilcher admitted to making the calls and exposing himself on camera, telling investigators he used a tablet at his mother’s apartment.
Despite the arrest, investigators say there are still unanswered questions.
Authorities have not determined how Wilcher initially obtained the victim’s contact information—or whether there could be other victims.
Wilcher is now charged with stalking, a third-degree felony, and remains in jail on a $30,000 bond.
