SAN ANTONIO — A fire on the west side has left one person dead, according to authorities.
Authorities were called to the 1000 block of Montezuma Street for a structure fire just before 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say the fire started from the center of the home and that they heard one person inside when they were on scene. Authorities say there were issues with a “downed power line and carport that was partially collapsed.”

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but arson is investigating.
The house is a complete loss.
