The San Antonio Police Department Special Victims Unit began investigating after a report from a public high school on Jackson Keller Road.

Officials say a student was seen getting out of Wooten’s vehicle, prompting a closer look into their interactions.

Investigators allege Wooten, who worked as a teacher and tennis coach, had been communicating with the student and taking her off campus during school hours.

According to court documents, Wooten later admitted during an interview to having sexual intercourse with the student multiple times in April.

Police say the encounters allegedly took place in his vehicle at a nearby parking garage.

The student later confirmed at least some of the incidents during a follow-up interview with investigators.

Authorities say Child Protective Services was notified during the investigation.
