Super Bowl 2026: When is it? What time is kickoff?

The championship game is a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl, where the Patriots faced the Seahawks.

WASHINGTON — Super Bowl LX is just days away, and the fanfare is already reaching the West Coast.

The New England Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The championship game is a rematch of the 2015 Super Bowl. At that time, the Patriots, led by head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, defeated the Seahawks.

Things look a bit different now.

This year’s Patriots-Seahawks matchup features a new cast of characters on both sides. New England is seeking its NFL-record seventh Super Bowl victory and is led by young quarterback Drake Maye, coach Mike Vrabel and a stifling defense.

The Seahawks have veteran Sam Darnold under center, coach Mike Macdonald on the sideline and also boast one of the league’s best defenses. Seattle is trying to win its second Lombardi Trophy.

It is the Patriots’ 12th Super Bowl appearance in franchise history, a record in the NFL. The Seahawks are also returning for the first time since 2015, making their 4th appearance overall.

When is the Super Bowl? What time does the Super Bowl kickoff?

The game will kick off on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. Super Bowl 60 will be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

It will mark the second time Levi’s Stadium has hosted the Super Bowl. The venue previously hosted the game in 2016, when the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24–10 in Peyton Manning’s final NFL appearance.

The Super Bowl traditionally takes place on the second Sunday in February, a schedule the NFL has followed since expanding to a 17-game regular season in 2021.

What channel is the Super Bowl on?

Super Bowl LX, which stands for 60, will be shown on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock and Universo.

NBC is part of a group of networks that rotate the broadcasting rights to the game each year. Last year, FOX broadcast the Super Bowl, which drew 127.7 million viewers—the most in Super Bowl history.

Who are the Super Bowl announcers?

NBC is bringing on veteran broadcasters Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth to lead its Super Bowl coverage. Melissa Stark, Kaylee Hartung and rules analyst Terry McAulay are also part of the broadcast team.

Tirico is one of many network broadcasters who will cover multiple events in February. The NBC broadcaster will call his first Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8, from the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Immediately after that, he will turn his Olympic brain on and host “Primetime in Milan” as he begins his fifth Olympic primetime hosting assignment.

This isn’t the first time Tirico has been assigned to double-host major sporting events. In 2022, he pulled a similar stunt, having traveled to Beijing for NBC’s Olympics coverage, then flying to Los Angeles for Super Bowl 56.

In 2026, Tirico is taking the double-hosting concept to a new level, calling the Super Bowl play-by-play and the Winter Olympics primetime show within a few hours of each other.

Bad Bunny will bring his Latin rap and reggaeton swagger to the NFL’s biggest stage: The Grammy winner will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show in Northern California.

Who is singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl?

The NFL announced in late November that Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Charlie Puth will be singing the national anthem ahead of the big game.

Additionally, Brandi Carlile will sing “America the Beautiful,” and Coco Jones will deliver “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
