WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A suspect is in custody after a 4-year-old child was shot Thursday night, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, a call came in at around 9 p.m. reporting that a child had been shot at a residence in the 15400 block of FM 1325, just outside Round Rock city limits.
Deputies located the injured child and provided medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The child was then taken to a local hospital, where the sheriff’s office said they are in stable condition.
In an update on Friday night, the sheriff’s office said a suspect was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service and the WCSO Criminal Investigations Division.
