SAN ANTONIO — A suspect has been arrested after he tried to evade police Friday morning, SAPD says.
Around 11:36 a.m. around the 6900 block of Northwest Loop 410, police say a suspect was talking on his phone while he was driving. When police tried to pull him over, the suspect “got scared” due to him being on probation and attempted to evade.
He took off fighting with the officers and ended up in a nearby creek where he was taken into custody, police say.
Police say he also had a stolen firearm and drugs in the vehicle.
The suspect had a small cut above his eye, but police aren’t sure if it was due to the incident or not.
The suspect now has new charges after this incident.
