SAN ANTONIO — A 33-year-old man has been arrested and faces a murder charge after a man was found with multiple stab wounds Monday morning in downtown San Antonio.

The victim, who hasn’t been identified by authorities, was pronounced dead after being rushed to a local hospital. San Antonio police said they believe he may have been experiencing homelessness. The victim was estimated to be in his 20s to 40s in age.

Kenneth Dale Hollingsworth Jr. was booked into the Bexar County jail on Tuesday morning amid the ongoing investigation. Hollingsworth, who doesn’t have an apparent criminal history in Bexar County, was assigned a $300,000 bond.

Police said Monday that they were speaking to people who were in the area of Augusta and Navarro streets, where the injured victim was found by a passerby around 11:25 a.m.

Officials haven’t provided information about a possible motive in the killing or what may have happened leading up to the stabbing, but authorities said Monday that the victim may have been in an altercation with up to four people. Investigators worked to review surveillance video from nearby businesses and VIA buses.
