The two suspects inside the stolen car fled from the crash scene on foot.
SAN ANTONIO — A car chase involving Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies early Sunday morning ended with a crash on the north side of town.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. near the Loop 1604 Access Road at Blanco Road. Deputies say the chase began in the 10900 block of Culebra Road in West Bexar County when they tried to pull the suspect over.
Deputies then pursued the suspect northbound in the stolen vehicle on Loop 1604 until they crashed into another vehicle near Blanco Road. The two suspects inside the stolen 2014 Nissan Sentra ran away following the crash.
Despite a search, they were not apprehended.
No injuries were reported by the person inside the car that the suspects hit. During the pursuit, the deputy was involved in an accident that caused him minor injuries. EMS was declined by both the Deputy and the other person who was hit by the suspect.
Deputies found a handgun, IDs, and cell phones in the stolen vehicle.
At this time the investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are working to identify the suspects who may have left their IDs in the stolen vehicle.
This is a developing story.
