Suspect flees robbery after allegedly threatening cashier with gun on northeast side of town, police say

Police are investigating an armed robbery in northeast San Antonio where a man, posing as a customer, allegedly threatened a cashier with a gun for cash.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating an aggravated robbery after a man allegedly threatened a cashier with a gun early Sunday morning on the northeast side of town.

According to San Antonio police, the robbery happened around 12:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of Nacogdoches Road.

Investigators said the suspect entered the business wearing a blue hoodie and pretended to be a customer. Police said he put a bag of cookies on the counter like he was going to make a purchase.

When the cashier opened the cash register, the suspect reportedly showed a firearm from his waist area and demanded money. The cashier emptied the register and handed over the cash, police said.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading northbound along Nacogdoches Road. No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a man between 20 and 30 years old. No arrests have been made.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and information may change as detectives continue to gather details. Anyone with information is urged to contact San Antonio police.
