CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of Brownlee Boulevard and Morgan Avenue early Tuesday after a man flagged them down, saying his truck had been stolen at 5:50 a.m.
CCPD officers observed two vehicles stopped on the roadway. The victim explained that he was making a delivery to a business near the intersection. As he got out of his truck, an unknown man jumped into the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle away from the parking lot.
The suspect immediately bumped into another motorist at the intersection before abandoning the truck and fleeing the scene on foot.
Police lost sight of the man near 14th Street, and he was not located.
There were no injuries to the parties involved, and there was minor damage to the vehicle that was struck at the intersection.
