SAN ANTONIO — A man was recently arrested in connection to a home invasion more than two years ago, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
William Best was charged with aggravated robbery following a “violent” home invasion in April of 2023.
On April 13, 2023 at around 7:10 p.m. multiple victims were held at gunpoint for over an hour in East Bexar County. The suspects – who were armed at the time, entered the home and assaulted a 19-year-old man, forcing him to open several safes containing firearms, authorities said.
A woman arrived during the crime and was also detained along with a juvenile male. The victims were all threatened and restrained with phone charging cables. The suspects fled the scene in a white Toyota Tacoma with a dark tint, black rims and LED lights, according to BCSO.
Upon further investigation, Best was identified as one of the suspects.
On May 8, 2025, while Best was out on bond he was scheduled to appear in court for an aggravated robbery charge but removed his GPS ankle monitor and told his attorney he would not be making an appearance. A warrant was then issued for his arrest.
Best was located in Fayette County, Kentucky and was taken into custody on June 10 with the help of the US Marshals Task Force. He was transported to the Bexar County jail on Sunday, June 22.
When Best fled, a 25-year plea agreement was under consideration but due to his failure to appear the case is currently being prepped for trial.
