Suspects arrested, accused in string of violent armed robberies of SA vape stores

The suspects are accused of hitting three vape stores in one night.

SAN ANTONIO — Two suspects are now behind bars accused in a violent string of armed robberies of area vape stores.

Zoey Brooks and Tanner Hahn are now facing multiple counts of Aggravated Robbery charges.

According to arrest warrants, the accused robbers hit three stores in one night and then a few weeks later, robbed another vape store in Stone Oak.

Just before 8 p.m. on Nov. 14, police said a woman walked into the Vape Time store off the 13000 block of Judson Rd.

The woman perhaps was casing the store because investigators said once she left, a minute passed before the other two suspects came barging into the store.

According to the arrest warrant, one of the suspect had a gun and put the barrel of the gun in the clerk’s face and demanded money from the cash register. At the same time, the other suspect grabbed merchandise and put the items in a trash bag.

All three suspects then took off.

Over the next two hours, police said the same trio robbed a vape store off Nacogdoches Road and another off Fredericksburg Road.

The three suspects used the same method of operation for each robbery, according to the arrest warrant.

Then on Dec. 1, the trio of crooks struck again, this time allegedly robbing a vape store off Stone Oak Parkway.

During the investigation, detectives got an anonymous tip identifying 23-year-old Zoey Brooks, 21-year-old Tanner Hahn, and a third person as the suspects accused of the vape store robberies, according to police documents.

Investigators said they reviewed the surveillance video of the robberies and discovered a fingerprint at the first vape store robbery.

According to the arrest warrant, the print was a match to Hahn and was the critical piece of evidence that led to his arrest.

Brooks is being charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery and Hahn is being charged with four counts of Aggravated Robbery.

The third suspect is still wanted, according to police.  Detectives report in the arrest warrant, they believe the third suspect was an employee at one of the targeted vape shops.
