HOUSTON — An SUV crashed into a pool in Houston’s southwest side Friday evening, and one person was detained at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident occurred south of Anderson Road near Hiram Clarke Road. The emergency call dropped at 8:01 p.m. It appears the Nissan Rogue smashed through a brick wall before plunging into the pool.
Video provided to KHOU 11 News from the scene of the crash showed a crowded pool deck. It was not clear if anyone was hurt.
Police have not released information about the driver, or whether anyone sustained injuries in the crash.
The crash site is located in Houston’s Central Southwest district. Police detained one person in connection with the incident, though details about potential charges or the circumstances leading to the crash have not been shared.
The Houston Police Department said the investigation was in early stages, indicating the investigation is ongoing. No additional details about the extent of property damage or the condition of those involved were immediately available.
