SAN ANTONIO — A SWAT situation on the east side has wrapped after what witnesses say, was a six hour standoff with police.
This happened around 8 p.m. at a home on Potomac Street. Witnesses told KENS 5 wasn’t until 2 a.m. that the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
Police surrounded the home trying to get the person to surrender by using negotiators and tear gas.
At the standoff, were family members of a shooting victim from Sunday, who believe this standoff was connected to their loved one’s death.
In that case, police say 19-year-old Jordan Bocanegra was shot and killed on East Commerce Street Sunday morning at Stanley’s Gas station.

No arrests in relation to the shooting have been made at this time.
