Police said a victim was held hostage by a “known suspect,” according to initial reports.
SAN MARCOS, Texas — A suspect is in custody after a SWAT operation early Thursday morning in San Marcos.
According to the San Marcos Police Department, law enforcement received a report of a person held hostage at an apartment complex at the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Dr.
The SWAT team arrived with crisis negotiators sometime around 2 a.m. Thursday, and police said they were able to save the victim.
Both the suspect and victims’ identities have not been made public.
Some apartment units were evacuated during the incident, and drivers were asked to avoid the area. No additional details are available at this time.
