Houston police have identified and questioned a man who fatally shot a robber at a Houston taqueria last week and say the case will be referred to a grand jury.
Burglars targeted a Northeast Side gun shop early Tuesday morning. The owner says it is the third burglary at the business recently.
Jose Iruegas, 44, was the man shot by police after he allegedly threatened people with a gun and then pointed that gun at the officers. Officer Joshua Nicholson who has been with SAPD for 6 years, and Ryan Tovar, a 7-year veteran of the force were the responding officers who shot Iruegas, according to an SAPD spokesperson.
