
SAN ANTONIO — The very first flight from the San Antonio International Airport to Europe will take place Friday. Planes will land in Frankfurt, Germany, making it easier for San Antonians to travel internationally.
The first flight is set to take off at 8:35 p.m. Friday, and it’s still not too late to buy a ticket. Economy seats are currently going for $700 round trip.
The flight’s size allows 216 passengers to fly economy, 64 to fly premium economy and 30 to fly business class.
The day has been highly anticipated since the flights were first announced back in September. The airport announced the German airline Condor would be the first to launch the nonstop service.
These mark the first-ever direct flights to Europe from San Antonio International Airport. They’re currently seasonal, with the option to fly until Sept. 6.
