Teacher accused of sexually assaulting student in classroom; Police looking for more victims

Cecilia Mueller is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child after a 20-year-old told police he was sexually abused in fifth grade.

SAN ANTONIO — A local teacher is facing serious charges, accused of sexually abusing one of her students back in the 2017.

Cecilia Mueller is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child.

According to an arrest affivavit, the victim, now 20-years-old, made an outcry to police recently. He told police that he was a fifth grade student in the 2016-2017 school year. He says Mueller singled him out to stay with her during lunch and would sexually assault him frequently.

He said that the sexual assaults would also happen in front of Mueller’s young child, and when the victim expressed concern about that, Mueller responded that the child “would not remember,” according to the affidavit.

The victim also said Mueller had a group of “favorites” she would have stay behind and she would show them “pornographic videos” and dare them to kiss each other. The victim also Mueller would text him constantly after school and phone records show she sent more than 300 messages and pictures to the victim, the affidavit said.

Northside ISD officials confirmed she was a teacher at Lewis Elementary from 2007-2019. The district says in 2019, she was moved to Henderson Elementary, where she was currently serving as a teacher. She has been placed on leave and the district said it was cooperating with police.

Meanwhile, SAPD posted to Facebook that they are looking for possible additional victims. The police department is urging anyone who may be a victim to come forward and contact police.

The school district also sent a letter to parents at Henderson Elementary. The letter is below:
