Team USA women’s hockey captain Hilary Knight tied a scoring record Saturday, matching the existing Olympic record of 14 goals.
WASHINGTON — Team USA captain Hilary Knight is securing her Winter Games legacy yet again, tying the record for the number of goals scored in U.S. women’s hockey Olympic history.
Knight sank her 14th Olympic career goal Saturday before the end of the 2nd period in a game against Finland.
Team USA finished the Saturday game strong, clearing a 5-0 win.
Knight ties Natalie Darwitz and Katie King for the record of 14 goals scored across Olympic performances.
The milestone comes just days after Knight set another major Olympic mark.
In Team USA’s opening game of the Milano Cortina Games, she became the first hockey player to appear in five Winter Olympics. Knight’s fifth Olympic run includes appearances in Vancouver (2010), Sochi (2014), Pyeongchang (2018), Beijing (2022) and now Milan Cortina (2026).
Knight won gold with Team USA in 2018 and earned silver medals in 2010, 2014 and 2022.
