SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio teenager is facing felony charges after investigators say he led troopers on a chase that ended in a crash involving multiple vehicles and left a woman seriously injured.
According to an arrest affidavit, 19-year-old Aiden Samuel Rodriguez is charged with collision involving serious bodily injury after the April 6 crash near South Walters Street and East Commerce Street.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers say they first spotted a gray Infiniti with an improperly displayed license plate near East Drexel Avenue and South New Braunfels Avenue.
When the trooper attempted a traffic stop, investigators say the vehicle sped off, ran stop signs and continued northbound at a high rate of speed before crashing into two other vehicles at the intersection of South Walters and East Commerce.
Authorities say both the driver and passenger ran from the wrecked car. The passenger was later caught, while Rodriguez was identified as the alleged driver after officers found his driver’s license inside the vehicle, according to the affidavit.
One victim, identified in court documents as the driver of a Kia sedan, was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center with reported neck injuries, broken hands, lower back injuries and a traumatic brain injury.
Investigators also noted Rodriguez had previously been linked to another evading case in 2025.
The case remains pending in Bexar County.
