Teen couple arrested, charged with capital murder of Galveston County woman, authorities say

18-year-old Uriah Urek and 17-year-old Tara King are charged in connection with the death of Tammy King.

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas — Two teens wanted in a capital murder investigation have been arrested in Laredo, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives had previously identified a couple — 18-year-old Uriah Urek and 17-year-old Tara King — as persons of interest in the death of Tammy King.

King was found dead on Thursday, Feb. 6.  Her body was discovered when deputies showed up at a house on 15th Street in Bacliff after getting a call from a friend who wasn’t able to get hold of her. Investigators said they found evidence that led them to believe foul play was involved in her death.
