SAN ANTONIO — A teen was killed in an “accidental shooting” at a northwest-side apartment complex Monday afternoon, according to San Antonio police.
Authorities were called to the 1500 block of W Sunshine Drive at the Tigoni Villas Apartments around 1:45 p.m. for a shooting in progress.
Police said a man in his late teens was in the bedroom when a handgun went off. It is unclear what lead up to the shooting.
According to SAPD, the teen was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
Authorities said witnesses were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. Investigators are trying to piece together what happened.
