Teen fatally shot Sunday afternoon not far from BAMC, SAPD says

One witness that we spoke to said this is not the first violent incident to take place at this location.

SAN ANTONIO — A young man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon on the northeast side of town, near Brooke Army Medical Center.

San Antonio Police responded the 3700 block of Binz Engleman Road, not far from BAMC, around 1:20 p.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting in progress.

When officers arrived, they found a young male victim, possibly 15 or 16 years old, had been fatally shot in the parking lot. Police say that a lot pf folks heard the gunshots, but nobody has come forward that actually saw anything. No description was provided of the suspect or suspects involved in this shooting.

Police were going to search the area to see if there is any evidence captured on a doorbell camera.

One witness that we spoke to said this is not the first violent incident to take place at this location.

Multiple 9 mm shells were found at the location, according to police.
