Authorities say this is the second arrest in the investigation.
SAN ANTONIO — A second arrest has been made in connection with a robbery and shooting investigation in Universal City, with police saying the suspects are tied to multiple violent crimes earlier this week.
According to investigators, a 17-year-old girl and Joseph Anthony Aguilar Campos are connected to at least two violent robberies that happened hours apart Monday at the Villa Mesa apartment complex.
Court documents state that around 3 a.m., a victim agreed to meet the teen girl at the apartment complex. Once there, the victim told investigators he was robbed at gunpoint and pistol-whipped by Aguilar Campos while the teen girl was present.
Several hours later, another robbery at the same complex ended in a shooting.
According to court records, the second victim said he had also been speaking with the girl before being taken to the Villa Mesa apartment complex. Investigators say the victim was shot and robbed before running to a nearby coffee shop for help.
After Aguilar Campos was arrested, investigators said the female teen contacted police the following day and admitted to involvement in the robberies. Authorities said she provided details about the crimes that had not been released publicly and matched descriptions given by the victims.
The 17-year-old is being held in the Bexar County Jail on an aggravated robbery charge with bond set at $125,000.
