Teen girl killed in hit-and-run in Medical Center area, police say

It happened just after 6 a.m. in the 6000 block of Danny Kaye Drive near Babcock Road.

SAN ANTONIO — A teen girl was killed in a hit-and-run in the Medical Center area early Monday morning, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called around 6:10 a.m. to the 6000 block of Danny Kaye Drive near Babcock Road, at the Camaron Townhomes and Flats.

San Antonio Fire Department officials confirmed the teen was struck by a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer Nicholas Evans with SAPD said witnesses told investigators the girl, believed to be about 15 years old and a resident of the complex, was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot that fled the area before officers arrived.

Police are still working to identify the driver and vehicle involved. No suspect information has been released.
