Teen stabbed in the chest after a fight breaks out at an apartment complex, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO — According to San Antonio Police, a teen was stabbed after a laugh between friends turns violent Thursday night.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex on N. General McMullen and Ruiz Street around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police say a 15-year-old was stabbed after he was laughing with friends and another man thought the jokes were about him. Officers suspect a neighbor used a bottle or knife to hurt the kid after he was walking by.

The suspect thought the teen’s group of friends were laughing at him and a fight broke out before he stabbed the 15-year-old in the chest, according to police.

The suspect fled the scene and police are still searching for him.
