
With assistance from the SAPD’s EAGLE helicopter, officers were able to stop the vehicle and take both occupants into custody, according to officials.
SAN ANTONIO — Two teens were arrested early Saturday morning after police said they were found in a stolen vehicle connected to a robbery on the city’s north side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
SAPD said officers were in the area of the 5200 block of North Loop 1604 West around 2:36 a.m. when they located a stolen vehicle.
Police said officers then observed the driver and passenger of the vehicle commit a robbery in the same area.
SAPD said officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. With assistance from the department’s EAGLE helicopter, officers were able to stop the vehicle and take both occupants into custody.
According to SAPD, officers recovered items connected to the robbery during the stop. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and two stolen firearms were also recovered.
The suspects were identified as a 17-year-old and 18-year-old male.
