Ram Herrera revealed his stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis in September.
Sunday’s fundraiser was held at the New Beer Depot was to help with the musician’s medical expenses.
“Bring awareness to musicians, having insurance and being able to, they did that all their lives,” said Esmeralda Ferrer, La Joya Promotions. “And it’s hard now that they’re older. And I think they should be able to bring awareness to get insurance and bring awareness to prostate cancer for men.”
But there’s a larger message behind the fundraiser.
Several bands and artists came together to volunteer for this cause and to build awareness around prostate cancer.
